360 Degree Surveillance: How Police Use Public-Private Partnerships to Spy on Americans

John W. Whitehead, Constitutional Attorney

We live in a surveillance state founded on a partnership between government and the technology industry.”— Law Professor Avidan Y. Cover

In this age of ubiquitous surveillance, there are no private lives: everything is public.

Surveillance cameras mounted on utility poles, traffic lights, businesses, and homes. License plate readers. Ring doorbells. GPS devices. Dash cameras. Drones. Store security cameras. Geofencing and geotracking. FitBits. Alexa. Internet-connected devices.

There are roughlyonebillionsurveillance cameras worldwideand that number continues to grow, thanks to their wholehearted adoption by governments (especially law enforcement and military agencies), businesses, and individual consumers.

With every new surveillance device we welcome into our lives, the government gains yet another toehold into our private worlds.

Indeed, empowered by advances in surveillance technology and emboldened by rapidly expanding public-private partnerships between law enforcement, the Intelligence Community, and the private sector, police have become particularlyadept at sidestepping…

Handicap vs Disability

Excuse or Reason –

My dad was a disabled WWII Veteran who never let his disability become a handicap.

His leg injury in the navy led to a surgery to remove his left knee and fusing his left leg. After leaving rehabilitation at the VA hospital one of the first jobs he got was pushing a broom as a janitor at a large church not far from the VA hospital.

Not able to return to farming he worked a number of jobs including a US Postal Carrier walking a route in Boise, Idaho. He was hired with a disabled veteran’s preference and gave his all into doing his job to his best ability.

In an attempt to force him to quit he was moved over to driving a box-truck with a manual transmission picking up mail from those blue postal boxes. He couldn’t bend his “clutch” leg…

Why Is The Mainstream Media Being So Quiet About The Military Strikes That Are Causing Massive Explosions In Iran? ~ January 31, 2023

The MSM is a ZOG node, that is part of the answer

Rose Rambles...

Are you ready for a catastrophic war in the Middle East? When I heard that there had been multiple military strikes inside Iran on Saturday night, I went to several prominent mainstream news websites looking for confirmation. But I didn’t see any stories about these strikes on any of their front pages. That puzzled me, because social media is filled with videos of these attacks, and there are lots of stories about them in Middle Eastern news sources. So why is the mainstream media here in the United States choosing to be so quiet about what is happening inside Iran?

I did find aFox News storyabout the drone strike that happened in Isfahan, but that story appears to promote the Iranian view that it really wasn’t a big deal at all…

A loud blast has been reported at an Iranian military facility and officials in the country…

How Regulatory Gaps in National Security Create Corruption – A Closer Look at Israel’s 8200 Unit

GAB | The Global Anticorruption Blog

While much of the discussion of corruption focuses on traditional, illegal acts like embezzlement and bribery, other shadowy, nominally legal practices can contribute to corruption, and perhaps should be considered corrupt themselves. An important manifestation of this phenomenon is the pipeline between government military intelligence services and the private intelligence industry. Though this is an issue in many countries, Israel’s 8200 unit provides a useful and especially salient example.

Founded in 1952, Israel’s 8200 unit conducts intelligence and cybersecurity operations, as well as cyber warfare. It is consistently recognized as one of the world’s most effective intelligence units. Unfortunately, the Israeli government does not regulate what its former soldiers do with their skills and expertise. As a result, many 8200 veterans go on to develop technologies for private intelligence and to found or work for private intelligence companies like Psy GroupBlack CubeMitiga, and

If you are under the impression that recent revelations about vaccine injuries are going to result in inquiries, criminal convictions, or even a temporary pause to mRNA vaccine production, you are sadly mistaken.

On the contrary, not only do our governments and the media continue to praise mRNA technology, but the intent is that mRNA vaccines will treat many other illnesses as well, bringing in further billions of dollars to pharmaceutical companies and the experts and government officials who have been bought off to go along with this scam.

To this end, manufacturing facilities are being built around the world.

Can Forecasting be Infallible?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Socrates Re-Posted Jan 30, 2023 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: Do you think that Socrates will ever achieve infallibility?

ANSWER: I have only shown our Global Market Watch model at conferences. It is a pattern recognition model that is learning every day. I have pointed out that nothing is infallible but if anything can achieve that, it will be this model. Right now, it’s not too bad, but it is still in its infancy. What has shocked me more than anything is that it has identified over 80,000 patterns. This is incredible to me. However, it explains why it is impossible for a person to actually forecast correctly. There are so many subtle variances that something may not be what we think is unfolding.

Eventually, it is theoretically possible that we reach some limitations of the pattern variances. If that can be achieved, then and…

Happy New Year! Here are some predictions and trends to keep an eye out for.

In last year’strends and predictions, we saw plenty of creative chaos for sure, identifying a number of breaking trends and global developments – many of which accelerated to become major stories later that year.

As much as any other year in living memory, this was truly the year of the apocalypse.

When we sayapocalypse, we are not referring to the Hollywood concept which is synonymous withArmageddon. Instead, we use the literal translation from Greek Latin, which means,

“the lifting of the veil”…

But the epic tale that was 2022 andthe beginning of theGreat Awakening- has set the stage for aGreat Realignmentin 2023.

Climate Reparations a Lose-Lose-Lose Deal

Science Matters

At the recently concluded UN climate summit, wealthy nations agreed to pay climate reparations to poor countries. Unfortunately, this could ultimately be a bad deal even for the recipients, if the West expects developing nations to forego fossil fuels that would help them to develop and get more resilient towards natural disasters. Bjorn Lomborg also discussed the topic on The Journal Editorial Report with Wall Street Journal editor Paul Gigot.

The link to the video clip of the interview is in red above, and below a lightly edited transcript of the conversation.  PG refers to Paul Gigot and BL to Bjorn Lomborg.  Transcript is in italics with my bolds and added images.

PG: The COP27 conference in Egypt wrapped up last week with President Biden signing on to a climate reparations plan. Under the agreement wealthy countries would pay into a new fund to compensate poor countries for supposed…

NATO’s Tank Coalition Is An Escalation But Its Significance Shouldn’t Be Exaggerated

By Andrew Korybko

Both sides should refrain from indulging in so-called “copium” and stop spinning this move as being a game-changer or a damp squib since it’s neither. It’s veritably an escalation to be sure, but it also won’t lead to Kiev’s “inevitable” victory either. As Russian military expert Mikhail Khodaryonok recently said, “the battlefield is the only litmus test”, which everyone will soon watch unfold in real-time.

A Tangible Response To The “New Narrative”

The NATO countries finally agreed to form a coalition for dispatching modern tanks to Ukraine after some debate between them over this development, which represents the latest escalation in their proxy war on Russia. Kiev’s military capabilities will thus eventually be bolstered to the point where it might stand a better chance of breaking through the Line of Control (LOC) that’s remained frozen

Emotional Russian FM Spokeswoman Zakharova Slams German Chancellor over Ukraine Tanks

Maria Zakharova, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman slammed the German Chancellor Olaf Sholz over his decision to send German Leopard tanks to Ukraine to kill Russians.

In her emotional quite lengthy press conference, Zakharova likened the current German chancellor to a particular predecessor of his who sent German tanks to Eastern Europe to kill Russians, a very symbolic gesture that has sparked extreme anger among the Russians in general reminding them of the around 27 million of their people killed in the war waged against their country by Germany in 1939.

Out of the lengthy Zakharova conference, the part embedded here is very important on the topic.

Learning From the Past — Ten 2022 Cybersecurity Events to Know

While it might seem counterintuitive to revisit last week’s newspaper for valuable information, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” Stepping back to recollect the security events from the recent past is particularly important, as the risk of repeating past mistakes is particularly high. Last year’s most popular posts on the Unit 42 Threat Research blog let us examine what the events of 2022 can tell us about the year to come.

Threat actors are tremendously fond of recycling and reusing old techniques, as long as they continue to have a high rate of return. And as past incidents have shown us, these tricks can be useful for years, if people don’t apply appropriate patches and mitigations.

Electronic Addictions, Las Vegas Style

Dawn Pisturino's Blog

(Photo by Nathana Rebouças on Unsplash)

When people go into a casino, they are mesmerized by the colors, bright lights, and dinging bells of slot machines that, nowadays, look suspiciously like video games. In fact, the video game craze has influenced what kinds of games casinos offer to their customers. The live-action table games are slowly being replaced with interactive video games. Not only is this cost-effective for casinos, but machines can be manipulated to take more of the customer’s money.

But why are people so attracted to the Las Vegas type of bells and whistles that they find in casinos, amusement parks, and video arcades? Why are they mesmerized by these same effects on their video games, computers, and smartphones? Are consumers being trained to use electronic devices like toys – and not just tools for business and communication?

According to an article posted on the Psychology Today

I have not written on the ebbs and flows of events on the front lines of the conflict between NATO and Russia on and around the eastern borders of the former Ukraine, most of which is now firmly and for ever within the loving embrace of the Russian Federation, for a couple weeks now. There is a reason for that lack of reporting, and that reason is generally referred to as ‘the fog of war’. Above that fog, or away from it, which is where most of us sit, it appears that nothing much is happening. We know of course that is not true, but only a select few, those who need to know, receive direct reports from on site. And only another select few have access to other than the bare facts which are deemed appropriate to be made known more widely – by either side – and it…

Neocon Fantasy: Attacking Iran

Video Rebel's Blog

Dave DeCamp of AntiWar.com wrote the following:

The US and Israel on Thursday announced the conclusion of their largest-ever joint military exercises, known as Juniper Oak 23.

The drills were launched Monday and involved over 140 aircraft and nearly 8,000 troops from both militaries. The massive show of force was clearly a provocation toward Iran despite claims from US officials that it wasn’t aimed at any one country.

“US Central Command and the Israel Defense Forces concluded Juniper Oak 23.2, the largest US-Israel partnered exercise in history,” US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a press release.

CENTCOM said the drills included a live-fire exercise that involved “B52s, F35s, F15s, F16s, FA-18s, AC-130, AH64s, 12 naval assets, High Mobility Rocket Artillery Systems, Multiple Launch Rocket Systems, a mix of jet fighters, and long-range bombers.”

Besides sending a message to Iran, the massive exercise demonstrates that the US has Israel’s back in…

How the US is blackmailing countries that buy American weapons

Desultory Heroics

By Vladimir Platov

Source: New Eastern Outlook

Economic sanctions and blackmail have long been the preferred methods of conducting foreign policy and advancing the United States’ own geopolitical interests.

In 2018, the US withdrew from the agreement on Iran’s nuclear program signed in May 2015, following which Washington began to implement the “maximum pressure” strategy on Iran.

In 2019, the US government imposed a slew of restrictions on the Chinese firm Huawei, which is widely regarded as a leader in digital technologies, particularly in the deployment of 5G networks. Following that, Washington began to intercept Huawei’s foreign market as a result of an open competitive struggle.

And Russia’s gas squeeze in Europe, orchestrated by the US, exacerbated an already obvious economic and financial crisis for Europeans, resulting in total population impoverishment against the backdrop of America reaping additional superprofits from the sale of expensive American LNG instead of cheap Russian…

The genesis of hydrocarbons and the origin of petroleum

American Buddhist Net

Natural petroleum is a hydrogen–carbon (H–C) system, in distinctly nonequilibrium states, composed of mixtures of highly reduced hydrocarbon molecules, all of very high chemical potential and most in the liquid phase. As such, the phenomenon of the terrestrial existence of natural petroleum in the near-surface crust of the Earth has presented several challenges, most of which have remained unresolved until recently. The primary scientific problem of petroleum has been the existence and genesis of the individual hydrocarbon molecules themselves: how, and under what thermodynamic conditions, can such highly reduced molecules of high chemical potential evolve?

Reflecting on World War I, which ended a decade earlier, he continued, “it begins what we were so familiar with only a brief period ago, this mode of propaganda whereby…people become war hungry in their patriotism and are lied into a desire to fight. We have seen it in the past; it will happen again in the future.”

There comes a time near the end of every PSYOP when the PSYOP has achieved its objective, or as much of its objective as it is going to achieve, and is becoming increasingly recognizable as a PSYOP, and so the focus shifts to damage control, and erasing the PSYOP from official history.

This is a crucial stage of the PSYOP, because, at this point, a significant percentage of the public have realized that they’ve been thoroughly mindfucked, and many of them are none too happy about it. Some of them are starting to ask awkward questions, like “why were we deceived and coerced by our governments, global health authorities, and the state and corporate media into submitting to a series of experimental ‘vaccinations’ that appear to be killing and injuring a lot of people?” Or “why are we occupying and torturing the residents of a Middle-Eastern country that never attacked…

Solving the Debt Crisis the American Way

Our forefathers turned their debts into currency. That Constitutional approach could work today.

On Friday, Jan. 13, Treasury SecretaryJanet Yellen wrote to Congressthat the U.S. government will hit its borrowing limit on Jan. 19, forcing the new Congress into negotiations over the debt limit much sooner than expected. She said she will use accounting maneuvers she called “extraordinary measures” to keep U.S. finances running for a few months, pushing the potential date for default to sometime in the summer. But she urged Congress to get to work on raising the debt ceiling.

Lifting it above its current $31.385 trillion limit won’t be easy with a highly divided and gridlocked Congress. As former Republican politician David Stockman crowedin a Jan. 11 article:

Your Blogmeister’s German Desk

I wrote here back in July, upon the passing of Tony Dow, that the reason why the dork idyllic ’50s shows like LITB and others like them got a second life of popularity starting in the 1970s was because people in the ’70s suddenly got nostalgic for the ’50s, and that that in turn was mostly caused by the very existence of the Ford Pinto.

I’m starting to get the sense that the 1990s are becoming to our era what the ’50s were to the ’70s. Which is to say, the decade of antiquarian nostalgia, or better, the temporal obsession of good-ole-days-ism.

Israel was behind Sunday morning’s drone strike on an Iranian munitions facility, the Wall Street Journal has reported, citing American officials. The strike, which Iran says it thwarted, came after the US and Israel held a series of meetings and military exercises.

One explosives-laden drone was shot down by an Iranian air defense system while two others crashed into a protective mesh above a military workshop in the city of Isfahan in the early hours of the morning, Iran’s Defense Ministry claimed.

“This unsuccessful attack did not cause any loss of life and caused minor damage to the workshop’s roof,” the ministry stressed, according to state media outlet IRNA. Tehran did not initially blame…
