Following on from disastrous meet residents sessions on 11 January 2023, City council boss Chris Hayward – chair of policy & resources – got a rough ride from his fellow councillors at the Guildhall yesterday. On Wednesday, Hayward was faced with a series of residents’ questions and observations he floundered over during a lunchtime meeting covering everything from London Wall West to the Fleet Street Justice Quarter and housing repairs. The evening session proved so difficult for the head of the council that the recording of the live stream appears to have been pulled from the Corporation’s YouTube channel.
