Immigration continues to be a hot topic of debate in America, and always has. But one conversation neither the liberals or conservatives are having when it comes to immigration, is how the US Government has allowed quite a few foreign dictators to move to and live in the United States. I am going to talk about some dictators that the US supported and later allowed them to live in the US, after most of them got overthrown from power. This list includes Filipino Dictator Ferdinand Marcos, Guatemalan Dictator Jorge Ubico, Syngman Rhee who was the corrupt 1st President of South Korea, a Dictator from El Salvador named Arturo Molina, and Fulgencio Batista who was dictator of Cuba. In addition to dictators the US also allowed foreign military officials involved in serious human rights violations to retire in America and become permanent residents.
