Canada: Digital identity goes live

Canada, where 35% of the government are WEF members,just implemented a “federal Digital Identity Program”, justified by the COVID scamdemic [source / archive].

EDIT: Apparently, they have no yet implemented the federal digital identity program, they’re just telling everyone that they are in the process of doing it and that it’s definitely going to happen. The plan they released is designed to “provide a solid foundation for the ever-evolving digital transformation of government.”[end of edit].

This is part of the World Economic Forum’s Known Traveller Digital Identity (KTDI) initiative. The WEF website names Canada as one of the countries involved with the pilot scheme.

According to the KTDI website, these digital identities will run on blockchain technology.
