When I was growing up I read a lot of science fiction.

Mostly authors like Isaac Asimov, Jules Verne, Ray Bradbury, etc. I was also a latch key kid which meant I watched a lot of T.V. and one of the series that had a profound impact on me was the classic old black and white Twilight Zone hosted by Rod Serling made between 1959 and 1964.

The scripts for these episodes were ground breaking for their time in terms of their unique subject matter and avant garde brand of social commentary.

You must remember these episodes were written during the heyday of both Space Exploration and Cold War Paranoia.

So, I thought with all the Solar Activity News as of late it might be fun to re-visit one of the Top 10 best episodes of the Twilight Zone in my opinion, The Midnight Sun.
